A new animated series on the principles of engineering will air on CBeebies during National Science Week (9-18 March).
Bitz & Bob combines the adventures of inventor Bitz and her brother Bob with the key principles of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths).
A live-action companion show will feature children doing experiments from the series, with more information on the ideas in each episode.
Alice Webb, director of BBC Children’s and a chartered civil engineer, said, ‘Our world is made up of a brilliant combination of art and science and I hope Bitz & Bob will show that.
‘We want to convey that your imagination has no limits and you can make something happen, whoever you are.’
Bitz & Bob begins on CBeebies on 12 March.
