The two-day exhibition, to be held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, on 23 and 24 January 2009, will showcase a wide spread of equipment suppliers, organisations and training companies within the early years sector.
Kicking off the 12-seminar programme will be Ann Langston, an early years adviser within the National Strategies, who will explain how to put child-centred learning at the heart of planning and assessment in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The whole programme is designed to address areas of concerns among practitioners about the EYFS and provide guidance on best practice.
Working with children under three will be a central theme. Among leading speakers will be Jennie Lindon, who will explain how to use EYFS developmental grids when working with babies and very young children.
Other themes to be covered include how to:
- operate an effective key person system
- create Enabling Environments
- make best use of the Self-Evaluation Form under the new Ofsted inspection regime.
