It's time for the Nursery World Show 2009

Nursery managers concerned about their inspections under the new early years regime can find expert advice on self-evaluation at the Nursery World Show 2009, from former Ofsted inspectors Laura Henry and Beth Harris of Childcare Consultancy.

Laura and Beth will be focusing on how to use the Self-Evaluation Form to ensure you are ready for inspection, in their seminar at 10am on Saturday 24 January at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

This is one of 12 seminars running over the two days of the exhibition that tackle many aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Working with children from birth to three is a prominent theme, to reflect the need for practitioners to have more guidance in this area. Visitors can choose from seminars including 'Babies don't do anything, do they?' with Donna Luck and Claire Stevenson of Northamptonshire local authority; 'Working with Under-threes' with Jools Page of Sheffield University; and 'Under-threes: learning and development' with early years consultant Jennie Lindon. Seminars cost £10 a session.

The Nursery World Show 2009 also features exhibitors from across the early years sector, with a wide variety of resources, equipment, training courses and information.

New launches include First2learn from well-known supplier NES, a range of more than 4,300 early years resources such as the Little Gem Kitchen products and new Cleaning Trolley. Visitors can enter a prize draw to win a £145 Nursery Start-Up Set and get 10 per cent off all orders placed at the show plus free delivery.
