Nursery World - Reflections nursery wins business award

Reflections Day Nursery in Worthing, West Sussex has won the Southern Business of the Year Award 2011/12.

The nursery competed against other businesses in and around East and West Sussex to be named Southern Business of the Year in the large business category, open to companies with more than 50 employees.

Reflections Day Nursery was automatically entered for the awards after winning Worthing Business of the Year 2010/11. It was also named as Nursery World’s Nursery of the Year in 2009.

Staff from the setting were presented with their award, a glass trophy, last Friday at a ceremony held at the Grand Hotel in Brighton.

Martin Pace, director of Reflections Day Nursery, said, ‘It was amazing to win the Southern Business of the Year Award.

‘The staff were absolutely thrilled. It is a fantastic boost for the nursery and quite cool that the awards recognised a nursery as a business.’

Next month the nursery is holding a week-long exhibition of all the children’s work at the St Paul’s Centre in Worthing, dating back from 2006, to mark the setting’s fifth birthday. A professional development day for early childhood educators and artists has also been organised.
