The veteran children’s TV presenter and maths enthusiast will be supporting the charity’s annual fundraiser, Number Day, which offers resources aimed at ‘livening up’ maths while raising money for charities like Speak out Stay Safe and Childline.

The event, which takes place on 3 February, is free to register through the NSPCC website and nurseries will be sent ideas for games and activities, such as Dress up for Digits where children and staff can wear an item of clothing with a number on it and make a donation to the NSPCC.

Ball said, ‘It’s a great way for all children and schools to celebrate the joy of learning mathematics while supporting such a great cause.
