The National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) is inviting applications from early years providers to take part in an evaluative study of their Maths Champions programme to measure its impact on children’s attainment.

The programme aims to improve the maths skills of children in early years settings by training and supporting ‘Maths Champions’ within nurseries.

NDNA are seeking to recruit 138 early years providers to take part in the study, which is funded by the Education Endowment Foundation and the Department for Education.

The study is part of a randomised control trial, which means 69 settings will be randomly selected to receive the £400 Maths Champions programme for free.
