The small family-owned nursery group has purchased Bright Beginnings Tangley Park Day Nursery, its third setting.
The nursery, which was sold for an undisclosed price, has the potential to take up to 34 children. The new owners are looking to increase this by adding an additional outbuilding in the garden.
Little People Nurseries director Jane Gleasure said, ‘We are very excited to be expanding our small nursery group with the addition of Little People of Hampton Nursery, and with the expansion of our outdoor learning classroom, we trust that this will be a wonderful addition to our nursery group.’
The Bright Beginnings nursery was established in 2015 by Raj Mehat and was originally part of a chain of four nurseries. Ms Mehat sold the others in 2019. She has sold this one to pursue other career interests.
Sophie Willcox, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said, ‘I wish Raj the best of luck for the future, it has been a pleasure working for her on both the sale of her group and her last remaining nursery. Wishing Little People every success with the nursery going forward.’
