ENTRY-LEVEL COURSES

CACHE entry-level qualifications demonstrate that candidates have the basic knowledge, skills and abilities to apply learning in everyday situations, in which they must be supervised. They currently provide a step towards further education and training.

CACHE reports healthy take-up for its Level 2 and Level 3 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Childcare and Education for 14 to 19-year-olds, which was launched in 2007 to provide relevant skills.

CACHE also offers the Entry Level Certificate in Preparation for Childcare which links to Basic Skills and provides training in caring for children at Home.

The CACHE Foundation Award for Caring for Children involves a multiple-choice paper and placement in a setting, and is considered a Level 1 award.
