Outside space is important to parents when it comes to choosing a nursery. Parents place real value on the idea that children can explore the world around them, talk about nature and have an active lifestyle. Similarly, many parents dislike messy play because of the chaos it can bring, so if you have mud kitchens, sand, water play or gardens, show lots of pictures of these in action.

Great social media posts show both what you are learning and how you are doing it. For example, a picture of a child planting a seed can be accompanied by your discussion about the seed needing water and sunshine.

While the sun is shining, it is also the perfect opportunity to get lots of pictures to bank for future use. And rainy days also have their uses: videos and photographs of children jumping in puddles are also a hit.

If you have minimal outdoor space, sharing pictures of walks, visits to the park and enjoying picnics can be a good option and show that you still enjoy lots of time outside.

Remember when taking images to keep them landscape if you’re using them on Facebook, and that Instagram will crop them to a square.

The best advert for your nursery is happy, smiling faces, and there are usually lots of these when children are playing outside.
