Nursery World North: Ferre Laevers to lead masterclass

Booking is now open for Nursery World North 2017, the exciting new show to be held in Liverpool on 5 and 6 May.

Designed on the same lines as the hugely successful Nursery World Show 2017 in London, this vibrant event will include an extensive masterclass and seminar programme led by top trainers and consultants, a major exhibition of the latest resources and services, and special feature zones.

One of the show highlights is the Saturday masterclass led by world-renowned early education expert Professor Ferre Laevers. ‘Quality in early education: defining, assessing and delivering’ will include Professor Laevers on well-being and involvement, and the Leuven scales, as well as Jan Dubiel on essential steps to quality.

Don’t miss the chance to see and learn from Professor Laevers, whose 2015 sell-out masterclass was highly acclaimed.

The Friday masterclass takes an in-depth look at the topical subject of early maths, with Linda Pound on early years goals and essential skills for mathematical thinking, Anne O’Connor on ‘maths on the move’, and Tom Weaver on enabling environments for creating confident maths learners.

The seminar programme running throughout the two days features sessions on all aspects of the EYFS, including outdoors, visual arts, communication and language, behaviour, school readiness, multilingualism, neuroscience, boys’ learning, family engagement and much more. Gill Jones of Ofsted will provide an update on inspection.

Equipment suppliers, associations, training companies and recruiters will available in the exhibition space, so you can try and buy the latest resources, get advice, and find career opportunities as well as network with professionals from across the sector.

Special features will include TTS’s Play & Learning Zone, the Live Theatre and the Nutrition Zone.

Registration for Nursery World North is free, and seminars and masterclasses can be booked at early bird rates until 10 March 2017.
