Children at Spring Seesaw Day Nursery in Braintree have been exploring nature in their ‘Nuts about Nature’ group.
They participated in activities such as lighting their own fires, toasting marshmallows, creating dens, making mud pies in the mud kitchen, making bird feeders and going on bug hunts. The children even role-played these activities outside sessions by collecting twigs in the garden and colouring paper red, yellow and orange to create their own fires, using bean bags as marshmallows.
