Wales gives children UN rights

Wales has become the first country in the UK to make the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) part of its domestic law.

The UNCRC is an international agreement that protects the human rights of children under the age of 18. The new law will put children's rights at the heart of all Welsh policy and practice, said UNICEF.
