Storytime is something that most practitioners plan as part of their daily routine, and such sessions have the potential to be exciting and enriching for young children.

Of course, there will be plenty of other opportunities for sharing new stories or old favourites with children more informally throughout the day, but practitioners should make sure that there is a rich selection of storybooks permanently available.

To ensure that a planned story session engages children and offers high-quality learning experiences, consider the following questions: Where will the story session take place?
