Practitioners' views on EYFS sought by QCA

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority is doing a survey to find out how practitioners are getting on in their first year implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The online questionnaire will give practitioners a chance to share their views on the EYFS. The QCA wants to hear from anyone currently working in the EYFS, including childminders, teachers, teaching assistants, managers, leaders and support staff, about issues they may be facing and how elements of the framework work for them.

The information gathered will help inform a report for the Department for Children, Schools and Families, to be published later in the year.

Jan Dubiel, EYFS programme manager at the QCA, said, 'The questionnaire will provide the QCA with valuable information as we move forward into the second year of implementation of the guidance.'
