Nursery group takes on council daycare

Tiny Toez has been awarded a contract by Staffordshire County Council to run the nurseries at six children's centres.
The group already owns seven nurseries at sites in Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham, Cannock in Staffordshire, Stourport, Worcestershire, and Sandwell in the West Midlands.

In April, Tiny Toez will take over the six nurseries after Staffordshire County Council decided to privatise them because they are currently not financially stable.

Ranjana Mair, Tony Toez owner, said, ‘We are extremely excited about the opportunity to start working in the new centres. We are also looking forward to our partnership with Staffordshire County Council.’

Tiny Toez opened its first centre in Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent in March 2004, and has been rapidly expanding ever since.

April’s expansion means that existing staff in the Staffordshire nurseries will join the Tiny Toez team, and further jobs will also be created.

Staffordshire County Council was negotiating with other early learning providers, but have now signed a contract with Tiny Toez because of their excellent reputation.

‘Tiny Toez has shown their commitment to quality. All their settings are rated as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and all have shown consistently high performance. Their reputation is good and they have shown they have the knowledge, ideas and ethos to run a successful and stable business with quality of service at its heart,’ said a Staffordshire County Council statement.

The six nursery centres Tiny Toez will take over are Tamworth Early Years Children's Centre, Newcastle Children's Centre, East Staffordshire Children's Centre, Cannock Children's Centre, Staffordshire Moorlands Children's Centre (Leek) and Beresford Children's Centre.
