Children's charity staff consider strike over pay and conditions

More than 1,000 staff at Action for Children are being balloted over possible strike action following a pay freeze and proposed changes to the charity's redundancy policy.

The move follows the breakdown of pay negotiations with public sectorunions Unison and Unite on behalf of Action for Children employees.

Another reason for the strike is the charity's proposed changes to staffterms and conditions, including redundancy terms.
