A hit conference on the EYFS is set for a repeat performance. Karen Faux gives a preview.

The attendance of more than 400 delegates at Nursery World's firstconference in Birmingham on 13 February made the event a sell-outsuccess and it is now set to come to London on 30 April.

'Early Years Foundation Stage: Effective Preparation and Implementation'will take place at the Ibis Hotel, at Earl's Court, and will deliver aprogramme of presentations designed to give professionals the essentialinformation they need to implement the EYFS confidently. The event willalso include a question and answer session and a delegate discussion, sothat views and experiences can be shared.

The day opens with a keynote address delivered by Ruth Pimentel,national director of the Foundation Stage, for the Primary NationalStrategy. She will bring delegates up to speed with what localauthorities are doing to assist providers in implementation andexplaining how their new targets for improving outcomes work under theEYFS. She will home in on guidance relating to observation, recordingand planning.
