We have just started taking the very young two-year-olds into our provision. We run morning sessions in a village hall with around 35 children. We have always been a happy and successful pre-school. Now it feels as if we are constantly chasing our tails as the two-year-olds are running riot. Despite setting up different areas as part of our continuous provision such as mark-making, dough and role play, we find that many of the two-year-olds just trash them. If they come to an activity, they tend not to listen or follow instructions. It's even difficult to get them to wear an apron for water play or painting without a tantrum ensuing. Any ideas?
