Advocates for the use of learning platforms are joined by Linda Mort in promoting their benefits for Foundation Stage children and families.

Winter's heavy snowfalls forced thousands of schools and nurseries to shut, disrupting children's learning. But a significant number of EYFS settings continued to provide engaging experiences, despite the sleet and snow. This was made possible by new learning platform technology, which is making virtual education a reality for very young children.

VLPs or Virtual Learning Platforms, also known as Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) or Managed Learning Environments (MLEs), are online spaces where children, teachers, families and, to an appropriately safe extent, the community (including the global community), can access enriching resources, communicate, create, collaborate, record and assess all aspects of learning and teaching.
